About this Event
You might not think it, but “I'd like a Pinot please!” is one of the most complicated phrases you can utter in wine. The Pinot family of grapes is as diverse as it comes – from Pinot Noir, loved for its smooth tannins, juicy red fruits and seductive perfume, to Pinot Grigio, the nation's favourite fridge white.
Tonight we'll taste through the kaleidoscope of colours and styles of this ancient and noble grape variety – silky Pinot Gris, smoky Pinot Blanc and a range of Pinot Noirs from gluggable New World examples to sophisticated, world-renowned Burgundy.
To misquote Samuel Johnson, when a man is tired of Pinot, he is tired of life!
Our shop tastings start at 7.30pm and run for approximately one-and-a-half to two hours. We will taste 6-8 wines on a theme, and bread, cheese and charcuterie is provided to match with the wines. Due to the communal nature of the tasting, we are unable to cater for dietary requirements.
